And Now, With Time on Our Hands

This post is happening during the global COVID-19 outbreak/pandemic/socio-political adventure. As the number of people with time on their hands increases due to the very wise mass-quarantining, it occurred to me that this is the most excellent time to go on retreat!

I’m a practitioner of T.W.I.M., a relatively new meditation practice to the United States. While I am excited to help encourage trying this practice out, which will be the focus of future posts, at the moment I would simply like to bring your attention the wonderful opportunity that we all have during the current, er, situation.

If you have a meditation practice already or are interested in starting one, now would be opportunity to get some sitting time in! The CDC recommendation for self-quarantining by those potentially exposed to the virus is 15 days, with a guestimated 5 day average before signs (dry cough, fever, drowsiness) occur. Most meditation retreats are 7 to 10 days, with a top length of 14.

Here’s that opportunity you have been waiting for, that actual “when I get the time” moment. Check out Dhamma Sukha’s FREE Online 7 day retreats (where T.W.I.M. is practiced!) or ask your favorite group if they have their own.

Until we meet at the (massage) table or chair (again)! ~Cori
